ENACTUS: Entrepreneurship, Action, Us is an organization and a community of students, educators, and business leaders who believe in and are committed to utilizing the power of entrepreneurial actions to enable human progress. This semester, Enactus Towson has achieved tremendous progress toward fulfilling its mission. As an organization within the CBE, Enactus Towson has undertaken several different projects this semester that will help improve the Towson and Baltimore community. The group just organized a successful Human Trafficking Awareness event on Oct. 2 with Jeanne Albert, CEO of Samaritan Women, as their speaker. In addition, they plan on creating and launching a KIVA portfolio by the end of the semester while also starting up a student-run incubator for small businesses around the Towson/Baltimore area.

As a way of encouraging and promoting hard-work and dedication
within their club members, Enactus started a “Student of the Month”award that is given out to a member who shows dedication, hard-work and is accountable for their responsibilities and actions. This month, the first-ever student of the month award was given to Joe Barbera and Janae Bullock. Enactus is just one of the many examples of the great organizations the College of Business and Economics has for its students to get involved in and gain some experience. Anyone interested in joining or finding out more about this Enactus should contact Sandrine Emambu via email at [email protected]. |
