Embracing your Entrepreneurial Spirit

Apply entrepreneurial skills in everyday college life
Successful entrepreneurs possess a number of skills that lead them to have a prosperous career. Students should apply these skills in their college life in order to master them in the future.
Motivation: More precisely, self-motivation is extremely important to be successful in your future career or at creating your own business. You can practice this by understanding your strengths and setting future achievable goals.
Time Management: Entrepreneurs have to be able to juggle a number of tasks at once. Time management is a skill that takes a lot of work to master and college is the ideal place to do it. Students learn to distribute their time between their studies, jobs and social life.
If you are successful at accomplishing this as students, you can
implement this skill later on in your life.
Other skills that can be practiced and mastered while in college include leadership, risk tolerance, adaptability, communication, long term and short term planning, and public speaking skills.
Brainstorming: A great way to augment your creativity is through brainstorming. On a weekly or bi-weekly basis, brainstorm ideas. The best way to do this is to keep these ideas simple. Don’t pay attention to the quality or feasibility of these ideas. Simply let the ideas flow and write down anything that comes to mind. The goal is to open your mind and discover as many ideas as possible.
Keep an entrepreneurial journal: When a great idea appears, write it down in a journal and expand on it. What problem is this idea solving? What value is this idea creating? Who can benefit from this idea? How feasible would it be to apply? A journal can increase your creativity and help you develop potential business ideas for the future.
Educate yourself beyond what you learn in classes: There are countless books that can both educate you and inspire your entrepreneurship spirit.
