MEET YOUR STUDENT CONSULTANTS
Kara Achilihu
As you wake up each morning and trudge through the snow and ice, you are probably wishing you did not have to wake up so early to attend a measly class. Certainly you wish you could rewind back to winter break, where this new semester was probably the last thing on your mind. But imagine, as a student, coming to Towson every morning during the minimester although you do not have classes. Implausible? Well, that is exactly what this group of Student Consultants did!
The College of Business and Economics Student Consultants (SC’s) are students that advise peers, host programs, and represent the college at various events. We work in the Student Academic and Career Services, providing a link between students and the administrative offices. We are also responsible for organizing the transfer orientations and this very newsletter you’re reading. We also coordinate outreach programming, such as the Academy of Finance Student Conference for local high school students and Open Houses for prospective TU students. We are passionate about helping our fellow students. As veteran SC Sandrine Emambu puts it, “I love the aspect of showing students all the resources that the College of Business offers.” To learn more about the Student Consultants or if you are interested in the position in the future, please visit Stephens Hall, room 301. |
